So I’ve got this awesome phone plan with Sprint. It’s about $160 a month with 5 lines and unlimited internet, text, picture mail, cell-to-cell, etc. Pretty spiffy deal, no? So the reason it’s so cheap is because of the great plan, girlfriend’s discount and the fact that I pimp the service out to friends if they want to piggyback on the awesomeness. Well I recently added two new people, whose names will be replaced for anonymity (we’ll call them Joey and Rina), and that is when the whole thing fell apart…
See, we have unlimited SprintTV, but only the free channels. Rina immediately started playing with SprintTV and saw “Dream Girls”. Because she wanted to watch Beyonce sing and dance she ordered this lovely channel. Therein lays the problem. See, these are channels, not individual downloads. Therefore, “Dream Girls” the channel is different from “Dreamgirls” the movie. Very different. In fact, I’m sure you can see where this is going. So I checked out the process it takes to subscribe to a channel. First, you have to find the channel in question. The navigation is as follows: SprintTV > Premium Channels > Entertainment > Dreamgirls. Then, comes the subscribing – Clicking ‘yes’ numerous times after seeing the description “Come see the our sexy Latinas, steamy Asians and the hottest babes your phone has to offer;” clicking ‘yes’ when it asks if you would like to pay the $3.95 to subscribe to this content. Then you get your video.
Fast forward to today…
“You would like to discuss your purchase of a subscription to our ‘Dream Girls’ channel, is that correct Mr. Brewer?”
“Yes… yes it is.”
FML.
